Björk Guðmundsdóttir (ˈpjœr̥k ˈkʏðmʏnstoʊhtɪr) (Reikiavik, Islandia, 21 de noviembre de 1965) es una cantante y compositora islandesa así como actriz ocasional. Inicialmente fue vocalista del grupo The Sugarcubes, para después emprender una carrera como solista.
Es reconocida por su expresiva y potente voz, así como por sus composiciones innovadoras y desafiantes, en las que así como en su canto, se denota una influencia ecléctica de muchos géneros, que van desde la música clásica, pasando por el folklore y la electrónica, y por supuesto el jazz y el pop.
Según su compañía de discos One Little Indian, Björk ha vendido más de 15 millones de álbumes, además de ser nominada al Oscar a la mejor canción por la película Dancer in the Dark, 13 nominaciones al Grammy, el galardón a la Mejor Actriz en el Festival de Cine de Cannes y en el 2010, fue galardonada con el Polar Music Prize, prestigioso premio que concede la Real Academia de Música de Suecia, por "su música y letras profundamente personales, sus arreglos precisos y su voz única".
