Nathaniel Dawayne Hale, conocido por su nombre artístico Nate Dogg fue un cantante y rapero estadounidense nacido en Long Beach, Los Ángeles, el 19 de agosto de 1969 y fallecido el 15 de marzo de 2011 en Long Beach, California. . Comenzó a cantar en el New Hope Trinity Baptist Church Choir, donde su padre, Daniel Lee Hale, era pastor. A los 16 años dejó el instituto en Long Beach, California, para unirse a la Marina de los Estados Unidos, donde sirvió durante 3 años. Es primo del también rapero Snoop Dogg, con quien formó el trío de rap 213 junto a Warren G. Finalmente falleció el 15 de marzo de 2011 a causa de un infarto al corazón
