TY

Nació en Londres, su familia se mudó de Nigeria al Reino Unido. Él tiene su sede en Vauxhall. A mediados de la década de 1990, estuvo involucrado en la Organización Ghetto Gramática y fue aquí que su interés por la poesía y alcanzó un máximo rap. Chijioke comenzó su carrera musical en una banda con Kiss FM DJ, Blitz Shortee. Desde entonces ha lanzado cuatro álbumes y ha trabajado con Tony Allen, Walker Terri, Scratch Perverts y Estelle. Actuó en un solo remix del Reino Unido de Talib Kweli " Down for the-Conde, junto Blak Twang, y en 2006 grabó "La Idea", junto a De La Soul. El segundo álbum de Ty, fue nominado a un Premio Mercurio en 2004. Su tercer álbum, Closer, fue lanzado el 16 de octubre de 2006. Se contó con colaboraciones de De La Soul, Speech de Arrested Development, Bahamadia, y Zion y vocalista Basement Jaxx, Vula Malinga. Un solo de el mismo nombre "," Closer, también fue lanzado. El 13 de julio de 2008, Ty actuó en el Festival RISE en Londres
