Curtis Cruz, (nacido el 14 de agosto 1983) mejor conocida como Black Milk, es un productor de hip hop y MC de Detroit, Michigan.En 2004, formó BR Gunna, con Young RJ, y Fat Ray, y juntos lanzaron Dirty District: vol. 2, una continuación de una compilación lanzada en 2001 por Slum Village, que él había contribuido a la producción. Black Milk lanzó un álbum en solitario, Sound of the City, vol. 1, al año siguiente y en 2006 firmó un contrato discográfico con Fat Beats Records (Fat Beats es actualmente distribuido por Koch Entertainment, el mayor distribuidor independiente en los EE.UU.). En el otoño de 2006, lanzó un EP, titulado.Broken Wax 13 de marzo 2007 lanzó un segundo álbum, Popular Demand. Además de Slum Village, Black Milk ha trabajado con gente como J Dilla, Elzhi, Phat Kat, Frank-N Dank, Lloyd Banks, Canibus, y Pharoahe Monch, y manejó la mayoría de la producción en la mixtape T3 Olio de 2006. En el invierno de 2007/2008 Black Milk vinculados a las consecuencias cantante Lamont obispo de lanzar un mixtape titulado Caltroit, que fue nominado para Mejor Hip Hop Mixtape Mixtape Justo en los Premios. Black Milk lanzó un álbum con Fat Ray titulado The Configurar el 4 de marzo de 2008 y su tercer lanzamiento oficial en solitario "Tronic" el 28 de octubre de 2008.También manejó la mayoría de la producción el álbum The Elzhi del Prefacio, lanzado 12 de agosto. Elzhi de "El Unmixedtape las sobras" fue lanzado el 11 de diciembre de 2009. Black Milk a producido cuatro de las pistas en él. El 25 de diciembre de 2009, que se ha filtrado el primer single de su próximo disco Álbum del Año, la canción se llama "seguir adelante". Black Milk ha declarado en Twitter que su próximo disco Álbum del Año, será lanzado el 14 de septiembre de 2010.
